About Little Bear Creek Weather
Little Bear Creek Weather is based out of North Woodinville, Washington. We are currently a very small, private weather station powered by a Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus and the Weewx software. LBCWeather originally started out on Facebook as a local source for weather in the Puget Sound Region, specifically North King County and South Snohomish County. We have grown to over 5,000 followers on our page and are still growing. Our goal is to a resource for all things weather and forecasting for the general public, as well as an interactive resource. We try to be very interactive with our followers, answering questions and live broadcasting/posting/tweeting through storms in the PacNW.

Who is Little Bear Creek Weather?
LBCWeather was started by Brie Hawkins, who runs the private station in North Woodinville. Brie is not a formally trained meteorologist, but she is a hobbyist in the weather world and is self taught in the basics of forecasting and other areas. She is a part time employee at KOMO News in Seattle, working in the Radio Promotions Department and as an assistant in the weather department following a four month internship with the Weather Team. Eventually Brie hopes to return to school and obtain a degree in Atmospheric Sciences. Her husband, James, assists with photography and technical support.

LBCWeather began in November of 2014 and has continually grown from there. It started out as a simple Facebook page with only a few followers, but rapidly expanded in to what it is today.

LBCW is a proud Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador!
Little Bear Creek Weather recently partnered with the local Seattle branch of the NOAA National Weather Service (NWS) as a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador. The Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador initiative is an effort to formally recognize NOAA partners who are improving the nation’s readiness against extreme weather, water, and climate events. As a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador, LBCWeather is committing to work with NOAA and other Ambassadors to strengthen national resilience against extreme weather.

Credits and Thank Yous
This site would not be possible without the support from all of LBCW's incredible followers. Through generous donations, we are now able to have this site online, streaming near real time weather data from our location in North Woodinville.

Extra thanks to Corey Clarke for setting up and hosting this website, and a continued thank you to Jackie Pearman for the amazing logo she created for us a handful of years ago.

Thank you to each and every one of you!
